Last updated: 27 October 2026
This privacy policy explains how First Response Aviation Group Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit fr-ag.co.uk, contact us or use our services. We take your privacy seriously, and we only collect the information we need to respond to you and run our business.
Who we are
First Response Aviation Group Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17450941). Our registered office is International House, Charfleets Road, Canvey Island, Essex SS8 0PQ.
We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, contact us at carl@fr-ag.co.uk or on 01268 204 607.
The information we collect
Information you give us. When you request a quote, send an enquiry, download our checklist, sign up to our newsletter, or contact us by phone or email, we may collect:
- your name, company and job title
- your email address and phone number
- details about your aircraft, such as its type, registration and location
- the service you’re interested in, dates and any other details you choose to share
- how you heard about us
- your marketing preferences
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at our site. Some of this is collected using cookies (see “Cookies” below). We also use Burst Statistics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that runs on our own website: its data stays on our website’s server and isn’t shared with third parties.
Information from our work. If we carry out work for you, we keep records of the job, such as condition surveys, photographs of the aircraft, reports and signatures, along with the contact details of the people we deal with.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes
- to arrange and carry out the services you ask for, including airside access with airports, FBOs and MROs
- to keep records of the work we’ve done
- to send you our newsletter and occasional updates, if you’ve asked to receive them
- to understand how our website is used, so we can improve it
- to meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations
Our legal basis
Under UK data protection law, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: where we need your information to provide a quote or carry out a service you’ve asked for.
- Legitimate interests: to respond to business enquiries, run and improve our business and website, and keep proper records, where this doesn’t override your rights.
- Consent: for our newsletter and for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: where we must keep information to meet tax, accounting or other legal requirements.
Marketing
We’ll only send you our newsletter or marketing emails if you’ve opted in, or if you’re an existing client and we’re telling you about similar services (you can opt out at any time). Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email carl@fr-ag.co.uk and we’ll remove you.
Who we share your information with
We never sell your information. We only share it where needed, with:
- service providers that help us run our business, such as our website and email host (Hostinger), Google (website analytics, search and secure backup storage) and Mailchimp (newsletters)
- partners involved in delivering your job, such as airports, FBOs, MROs and specialist contractors, only as needed to carry out the work
- our professional advisers, such as accountants, insurers and lawyers
- authorities, where the law requires it
Our service providers only use your information on our instructions, and are required to keep it secure.
International transfers
Some of our service providers, such as Google and Mailchimp, may store or process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards UK law provides, such as the UK–US data bridge or approved contract terms, so your information stays protected.
How long we keep your information
- enquiries that don’t lead to work: up to two years
- client and job records: up to six years after our last work for you, to meet tax, legal and insurance requirements
- newsletter details: until you unsubscribe
- website analytics data: up to 14 months
After that, we delete or anonymise it securely.
Keeping your information secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure, encrypted connections to our website, password-protected systems with restricted access, and regular secure backups. If you think your information may have been misused, please contact us straight away.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that’s wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict or stop using your information
- object to us using your information based on our legitimate interests, including for marketing
- ask for your information to be transferred to another organisation
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email carl@fr-ag.co.uk. We’ll respond within one month, and there’s normally no charge.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use:
- Essential cookies that make the website work properly and securely, such as remembering form submissions and keeping the site fast. These don’t need your consent.
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, which help us understand how many people visit our website and how they use it. The information is aggregated and doesn’t identify you personally.
- Burst Statistics, which counts visits and enquiries on our own website. It’s set up to work without cookies, and its data isn’t shared with anyone else.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the website from working properly.
